Pneumatic cylinders typically operate at 5 to 25 bar. They operate low pressure and creates the pressure on one side of the piston. They are place between the piston head and the bore.

Guide rings also known as wear rings. Guide rings primary function is to avoid the metal to metal contact. They guide the rod in the cylinder head and piston in the cylinder bore. They accomodate the radial load.
